December 4th was a HUGE day for The Cupcake Girl!

All total......65 dozen. Baked, iced and delivered. What was I thinking!?!? Oh yea, that I LOVE to bake cupcakes and make the world sweeter.....one cupcake at a time.

Still my Favorite......

Of all the cupcakes I do and have done...my favorite are still simple buttercream. Makes them look likes roses. What do you think?

48 soccer balls don't seem like a hard order....I was wrong! These little guys took a lot of control and patience. I'm glad the client was pleased! :)

Here are the elephants that I did for a school Noah's Ark party. I actually did them for the real party in a lighter gray...but forgot to take a picture. So I recreated him with the buttercream that I had. I think he's still cute though, don't you?

Daughter's vision of Halloween

My sweet 9-year old daughter, Sophia, has informed me that she wants to open a bakery when she grows up. Here is her first, all by herself, Wonderful creation. She used my recipe for candy gum paste to make the pumpkins, the sign post is a pretzel stick, and she covered the brownies she made with crushed Oreos to make it look like dirt. And what's a Pumpkin Patch without vine...green icing. I was SOOOO impressed I've asked if she will help me with my Halloween orders!

Look Whooooo's turning 2!

What a sweet idea for a sweet 2-year old's Fall birthday. Her Mommy asked if I could use the darling owls she found and the matching cupcake wrappers. I think they turned out really cute!

Babies and Butterflies

A good friend asked if I could do a Baby Shower for her with the theme brown and pink and Butterflies. Of course! Chocolate butterflies on soft baby pink buttercream are always a hit. And so much fun to make! I heard they were fighting over who got to take home the extras! Always nice to get compliments.

BOLT!

These BOLT themed cupcakes were fun to make...even if the lightening bolts did take A LOT of time and patience. I think the Birthday Boy was pleased.

All birthday girls want to be Princesses, don't they? I hope the little Princess that I made these for feels super special on her big day. Too bad I didn't have my real camera.....it's with Sophia in the mountains. So my phone had to do the trick....hope you can see how really cute they came out!
